Wydad Athletic Club have continued to strengthen the squad under new head coach Rulani Mokwena.
The Moroccan giants are eager to get back to winning ways after missing out on silverware last season, finishing the Botola Pro in fifth place and being knocked out of the CAF Champions League in the group stages.
With no CAF interclub football this campaign, Mokwena and his new side can focus on domestic football, the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025 and potentially the African Football League, with the details yet to be confirmed.
On Tuesday, Wydad confirmed the arrival of winger Nassim Chadli, who joins the club from Ligue 1 side Le Havre. The 23-year-old scored four goals and set up two more on loan at Concarneau in France’s second tier last season.
Meanwhile, Walid Nassi joins from Dijon FCO, who ply their trade in France’s third division. The 24-year-old scored six goals and set up another six in 33 appearances last season.
The latest two arrivals are signings number 13 and 14 under Mokwena already, following the likes of Cassius Mailula, Pedrinho and Zacarias Ghailan, who were all unveiled last week.
The other new signings are Nabil Marmouk, Ayman Dairani, Hamza Sakhi, Zakaria Nassik, Abdelali Mhamdi, Jawad Khalouk, Mohamed Moufid, Mohamed Rayhi, Mouad Enzo and Mehdi Moubarik.
Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Abdelmounaim Boutouil is expected to be the next signing unveiled by the club after his exit from Chloorkop was confirmed.
