Percy Tau Gives Future Update
Bafana Bafana international Percy Tau has revealed that Brighton & Hove want him to stay with the Premier League side next season, Velile Mnyandu reports.
There have been rumours about Tau’s future with the Seagulls after he’s only had limited game time since his return from RSC Anderlecht in January.
However, Tau now put those rumours to bed, saying he wants to fight for his position and the club also want him to stay.
“In terms of next season, I don’t think anyone wants to do that at this stage (loan me out again),” Tau told local media.
“It has been six months that I’ve been with Brighton and if you want to loan me out again, it will be based on what exactly? Because I didn’t play enough.
“I’m looking to fight for my position. That’s is my intention. We are still on the same page, me and the club. The club wants me to stay and play, and I also want to fight for my position.
“At the moment, both sides are agreeing that I will stay and fight for my position.”
Tau was speaking at an event organised by Hyundai South Africa, which was attended by iDiski Times senior writer Velile Mnyandu (@Velile_Mnyandu).
