The Premier Soccer League prosecutor Zola Majavu has announced that JDR Stars’ case against Durban City was dismissed by the DC on Tuesday, but a by Cape Town Spurs is still open.
JDR Stars had lodged a protest over the alleged wrongful registration of Saziso Magawana, and with the case only being heard on Tuesday, Durban City were not officially crowned Motsepe Foundation Championship champions, and are yet to receive the trophy.

The case was heard on Tuesday, but the DC ruled that JDR’s claim has no legs to stand on, as earlier reported by iDiski Times.
“The PSL DC dismissed that particular protest with costs to be paid by the protesting club, in this case JDR Stars,” Majavu stated.
“The PSL DC found nothing wrong with the registration of Mr. Magawana by Durban City.
“And to the extend that he was fielded against JDR Stars, there was no wrong-doing determined by the DC.”
Majavu also confirmed that Cape Town Spurs’ protest about the same player was set for Tuesday evening, but postponed to Wednesday after the Urban Warriors requested a delay to present a witness.
