Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has insisted his side should have received a penalty, which would have changed the outcome of the Soweto Derby. Riveiro Makes History As Pirates Secure Comeback Soweto Derby Victory

Orlando Pirates secured a comeback 2-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs in the league Soweto Derby at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon. In the first instalment of the back-to-back derbies, the biggest match in the South African football calander, Glody Lilepo got Chiefs off to a flying start when he prodded home Dillan Solomons cross beyond a diving Sipho Chaine. Molefi Ntseki has announced his Bafana Bafana XI for today’s COSAFA qualifier against Malawi. Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates legend Marks Maponyane has opened up about his most memorable time in the Soweto Derby as a player, citing the 1994 season as the best. Go-man-go as Maponyane is affectionately known wore black and gold for a decade between 1981 and 1991, making 192 appearances and scoring 85 goals.
