Stellenbosch FC have completed the signings of midfielder Sihle Nduli and former Bundesliga defender Lasse Sobiech ahead of the 2022/23 season.
Nduli, 26, joins the club from TS Galaxy and will reunite with forward Sinethemba Mngomezulu, who is also set to be unveiled at the Cape Winelands outfit in the coming days.

The tenacious midfielder who was previously on the books of GladAfrica Championship side Cape Town All Stars comes highly rated with his work-rate one of the key factors behind the club’s decision to rope him into an already impressive midfield with the likes of Ibraheem Jabaar, Jayden Adams and Sibongiseni Mthethwa.
Having released Zambia international Nathan Sinkala and Granwald Scott, the club are likely to have a new-look midfield in the upcoming season while a new face in defence will be the 31-year-old Sobiech.

He arrives on a free transfer after leaving Bundesliga 2 side Darmstadt 98, as reported in Edition 59 of iDiski Times, the club have been tracking the player who’s turned out for the likes of FC Köln, HSV Hamburg, St Pauli and Dortmund over his extensive career in Germany.
Standing at 1.96m, Sobiech joins Vusi Sibiya as the latest defenders to join the club as direct replacements for Robyn Johannes and Zitha Kwinka, with the latter having joined. Kaizer Chiefs.
Steve Barker’s side will be looking to build on their 2021/22 season in which they finished in a club-record fourth place in the South African top-flight.
